Today we’re watching Ren Faire, an HBO documentary about behind the scenes of a Texas medieval festival. So far, the first episode was very unexpected…and in a good way. There is an elderly eccentric retiring “King”, who, not only names his junk, but says it controls him and he listens. He wants to die with a boner.
The way it’s filmed/edited, it really seems dreamlike and movie-like, not at all like a documentary. I don’t know any of the backstory, so I really don’t know what to expect next.
