Today I discovered Magdalena Bay, liked it so much that I bought their first album on vinyl, Mercurial World and bought tickets to see their concert in the Fall. Imaginal Disk is their most recent album, and it is the best album I’ve heard in a long time.

Flaming Lips
Today we’re driving to Indianapolis to see the band The Flaming Lips perform Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots. They’re one of my family’s favorite bands, and this is an anniversary of my favorite album of theirs.

Final Music Brackets
We finished our Music Brackets! “Dramamine” by Modest Mouse won on my son’s bracket and Fiona Apple’s cover of “Across the Universe” won my bracket.

Tailgate Brewery
Today I’m meeting some friends to go have a drink at a local brewery. I’m not a big drinker, but I’ll have a beer. I’ll make sure to take a Cantrip Soda to make mixed drinks my style 🙂 Also, my Behringer Edge shipped and should arrive today!

Soccer Walk
My son has soccer, so I walk around the park for the hour. He wanted me to listen to D’Angelo’s album VooDoo. I’ve heard some of the songs before (Untitled: How Does It Feel), but never the full album. It was really good!
