Today I went out with my son for him to practice some driving (turning 16 soon), and to eat lunch at a favorite sandwich spot in Nashville, Mitchell Deli.
It was his first time driving on a major interstate…and in heavy rain! Other than being nervous, he didn’t make any mistakes. He did awesome!
I got the Pastrami and Swiss (it was just ok) AND an Asian Flank Steak (A+) to eat later. My son got the Roast Beef and Cheddar (A+). Next time I’ll go back to the Banh Mi, my favorite.
One thing I’ve discovered about Mitchell is that their hoagie bread does not hold up the next day, it turns kind of spongy. It must be eaten fresh!
